BUKKEHAVE is a Danish jewellery brand that has been designing original and brave contemporary pieces of jewellery sience 2011. When I choose my designs I am often inspired by organic and abstract forms found in nature. An example of this is the Danish Western Sea that has had great influence on parts of my latest work. I’ve always been fascinated by combining classic and alternative materials. Some of the more exotic materials I have used include sea weed, rubber, Plexiglas and various gems. In order to achieve some degree of roughness in my work I use many different casting techniques and experiment with gritty textures and structures in the metals. Furthermore, I will often try to incorporate a frail and feminine angle to my rough and powerful expressions. One of the ways to make the two styles clash is adding feather light materials and clean looks to some of my work. I like to perceive my unique, often simple and modern pieces of jewellery as comments on the crazy and wild aspects of life that I have always appreciated myself. All my work is made by hand and every design is carefully chosen with great emphasis on originality, quality and good craftsmanship.
